Harm Langenkamp

Harm Langenkamp studied musicology and cultural history at Utrecht University. In 2014 he completed his PhD in musicology with a study on music as an instrument of propaganda during the Cold War. Since then he has taught music history and analysis at Utrecht University, the University of Amsterdam, the Radboud University in Nijmegen, and Emerson College European Center. As of September 2020 he is a teacher of theoretical subjects at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In addition to his work with music and politics, he is interested in opera/musical theater and in the cultural connectivities between music of the 20th and 21st centuries.
