Bart Aerbeydt studied horn with Luc Bergé and Rik Vercruysse at the conservatories of Ghent and Antwerp. His interest in the colourful and expressive sound of the natural horn led him to continue his studies with Teunis van der Zwart at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Bart is principal horn with the Freiburger Barockorchester. Additionally he collaborates with orchestras and ensembles such as Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, B’Rock Gent, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, and Collegium Vocale Gent. He has made several recordings on historical instruments, including the baroque horn, the classical horn, the Vienna horn and the French piston horn.
