The Conservatorium van Amsterdam proudly congratulates saxophonist Egor Tokarev. He was named winner in no less than two categories at DownBeat's 47th Annual Student Music Awards. With his band All Colors of Jazz Union, Egor won in the Small Jazz Combo category. His composition ‘Eight Winds’ was awarded first prize in the Original Composition - Small Ensemble category. Egor Tokarev studies in the second year of the bachelor jazz programme.

The DownBeat Annual Student Music Awards are considered among the most prestigious awards in jazz education, so this win is a great honour for both the musicians and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
