Starting in January, the Conservatorium Hotel will host, in collaboration with the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, a new edition of the Expression of Art Award. Four bands formed by CvA students will compete for the prize of € 5000, to be put towards career development.

The Expression of Art Award project comprises five concerts, the first of which will be given on January 27th by the Ian Cleaver Quintet (photo), followed by the Stan van de Wetering Quartet on February 24th, Forest Light on March 31st and the Ben Fitzpatrick Quartet on April 28th.
After the final, to be held on May 26th, the jury, formed by Edo Righini, Associate Director and Head of Jazz at the CvA; saxophonist Jasper Blom and guitarist Reinier Baas, will announce the winner.
All concerts take place in the Symphony Room at the hotel and start at 11.30h
