Several CvA graduates have been nominated for the Radio 6 Soul & Jazz Awards. Ruben Hein has been nominated in no less than three categories, those of  'best male artist', 'best album', and 'best single'. The band BRUUT (Folkert Oosterbeek, Felix Schlarmann, Maarten Hogenhuis, Thomas Rolff) gained a nomination in the category 'best band'. Vocalist Paul van Kessel has been nominated in the category 'best talent', and Caro Emerald is a nominee in two categories"'best female artist' and 'best  album'.
