Pianist Florian Verweij (15) has won first prize at the 'Prinses Christina Concours Noord 'in category 2 (age 15 -19). The prize consists of, among other things, a concert in the chamber music series of the Noord Nederlands Orkest and a lunchtime concert in Leeuwarden in the 2013-2014 season.

Florian studies with Marcel Baudet at the Sweelinck Academy, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam's national study programme for exceptionally gifted young musicians.
