Guitarist Martijn van Iterson has won the Laren Jazz Award 2012. Martijn van Iterson is one of the best jazz guitarists of the Netherlands and teaches at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Jazz Department. His music may best be described as ‘contemporary jazz with a feeling for tradition’. Martijn will receive the award at Laren Jazz on September 1st, 2012.
