Duo Smackgirls, formed by Lisa Schreiber, saxophone and drums, and Kanoko Takeuchi, dance, has won the fourth edition of the Amsterdam Goodmesh Concours with their work Rite of Rumi. The Goodmesh Concours is a multidisciplinary art competition that encourages its participants to combine music with other art forms.

The duo will receive €5,000, Goodmesh Management support, a professional photo shoot, video recording, and PR consultancy.

Lisa studies with Arno Bornkamp in the master’s degree programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Kanoko studied modern theatre at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam.
