Simon Poirier has won first prize at the natural horn competition of the International Horn Society. Simon studied with Teunis van der Zwart in the master’s degree programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, graduating in June.
Fabio Forgiarini won third prize. Fabio, who also studies with Teunis van der Zwart, will start the second year of the master’s degree programme in September.

The natural horn competition fomed part of the 51st International Horn Symposium, which took place from 1-6 July in Ghent, Belgium.
