Attending AEMA has been transformative for me both personally and as a music producer. Coming from Estonia, I fell in love with Amsterdam's vibrant music culture right away. The city breathes electronic music, and AEMA became the perfect place for me to immerse myself in it. The program, though relatively new, is built on a solid foundation that supports aspiring producers and artists.

Like many others, I grew up inspired by icons like Skrillex, Martin Garrix, and Illenium, which led me to start producing. AEMA focuses on exactly that: artistry. It’s not just about technical skills like mixing and mastering; it’s about the full picture – sound design, marketing, and navigating the music industry. The teachers are active professionals, sharing their real-world experiences and offering insights into both the creative and mental struggles of being an artist. These open discussions were invaluable, providing me with not just technical knowledge but also a sense of direction and purpose.

My path at AEMA was unique. I started as an onsite student but had to switch to the hybrid program when I moved back to Estonia midway through my studies. While it felt like a tough decision at first, it turned out to be a blessing. My time in Amsterdam allowed me to experiment with different styles and connect with the local music scene. Returning to Tallinn gave me a clearer focus, guiding me toward drum and bass, as the city has become a hub for the genre. By my second year, I was fully committed to DnB, building a portfolio of tracks that culminated in my final EP.

AEMA provided me with the tools and confidence I needed to grow. I arrived as a confused musician, unsure of my path, and left with a clear sense of direction. Now, I’m working on collaborations with local singers, building a studio with a friend, and DJing at local clubs and bars. Thanks to AEMA, I’ve started releasing music, performing, and pursuing my goals with a newfound clarity and purpose. The academy gave me a compass, and I’m ready to chart my course in the music industry.
