'My time at AEMA truly shaped me as an artist'
My time at AEMA truly shaped me as an artist. It was a place where I could freely experiment, develop my creative vision, and gain the tools to bring my ideas to life. Nowadays, I’m fully immersed in music.
Under the name Festen, I collaborate with my brother on edits and original tracks. We release a new edit every month and are currently channeling our energy into several EPs. In addition, I program Thursday nights at Club Nachbar, curating artists and concepts to create unique evenings.
Alongside Festen, my focus is also on my solo project, Neo, which emphasizes live performance over DJing. It’s about creating an intimate connection with the audience and bringing my music to life on stage. My EP [ni:’o], recently released on vinyl as my first physical release, marks an important step in that journey. It feels like a reflection of my growth as a musician and a strong introduction to my personal sound.
AEMA not only helped me refine my technical skills but also gave me the confidence to forge my own path in the music industry. The personal approach and genuine care from the instructors made my time there incredibly warm and valuable.
