Violinist and scholar Michiko Theurer views conversations between different disciplines as pathways to a deeper engagement with ideas and experiences. Her musical performances draw from her experience as a visual artist and scholar, and include concerts with Eighth Blackbird, the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, and as Artist in Residence with the Boulder Bach Festival. She holds a doctorate in violin performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is currently pursuing a PhD in musicology from Stanford University.
