Jazz progressions: voicing theoretical and historical perspectives

Ter gelegenheid van de promotie van Barbara Bleij aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, op haar proefschrift An Annotated Theory of Tonal Jazz Harmony, organiseert het lectoraat Muziek op vrijdag 14 februari een (internationaal) symposium.

Het symposium brengt verschillende lagen van Barbara’s onderzoek onder de aandacht: de ontwikkeling van jazzharmonie als muzikale praktijk, als pedagogische praktijk en als onderzoeksveld. Behalve Barbara zelf en enkele leden van haar internationale promotiecommissie leveren ook collega’s en studenten van het Conservatorium van Amsterdam een bijdrage aan het symposium.
