Vedran Mirčetić is best known as the guitarist of the band De Staat, with which he has played for over 16 years. With The Staat, he did many international tours, from Pinkpop, Lowlands, Sziget, Werchter and Glastonbury to stadium shows with Muse and the Rolling Stones. He also played with De Niemanders, Wende, De Speeldoos and Lian Ray.
He started playing the classical guitar in Croatia before later swapping it for electric guitar and studying at the Rock Academy in Tilburg. After teaching at the Herman Brood Academy, he currently teaches guitar and coaches Style, Freestyle en Advanced Style Lab bands at the Pop department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Vedran thinks finding your own sound is very important and pays a lot of attention to it in his lessons.
