At the age of eleven, Joost Kroon had already made his debut in the professional field as a percussionist for the Rotterdams Volkstheater. He graduated from the Rotterdams Conservatorium with a 10 cum laude in 2003. He worked with artists including Ken Stringfellow, JB Meijers, Candy Dulfer, Kane, Hans Dulfer, and Hans Teeuwen. Currently he is playing with New Cool Collective, Sven Hammond, Matt Simons, Ladies Of Soul, and Studio Kroon.
Joost  teaches at the conservatories of Amsterdam and Haarlem.
