Jan Teertstra (1989) studied bass guitar at the Pop Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Dutch at the University of Antwerp. With his bands Sunday Sun and Orgel Vreten, he was a welcome guest on the club and festival circuit for many years. He also toured extensively at home and abroad as a session musician with Laura Jansen, Yentl & De Boer, Willy Mason and Spinvis. Currently he is active as a musician with Peter van Rooijen and the pop band Johan (JHN).
Jan has been a music and language teacher since 2010. In 2021, he released his first solo album under his own name.
