Debby Korfmacher is a mbira player and singer. She holds an Mmus degree in Ethnomusicology from SOAS (University of London). She first encountered creative collaborative music making at the Guildhall School of Music & Dance in London and has subsequently trained with various workshop leaders. She currently teaches mbira, African singing and creative music making at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, works as a freelance creative workshop leader & project developer, advisor and trainer. Over the years, she has also gained a lot of experience with Early Years music projects and cross‐arts creative projects combining visual arts & music.
