Martijn van Iterson
Martijn van Iterson (Leiden, 1970) is a guitarist, composer and teacher. In 1993 he graduated cum laude from the Hilversum Conservatory, where he studied with, among others, Wim Overgaauw. At the 2004 North Sea Jazz Festival, he received the Bird Award (Now Paul Acket Award),
Martijn van Iterson performed with many famous jazz artists, ssuch as Jim Hall, Lee Konitz, Toots Thielemans, Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Piet Noordijk, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Rita Reys. He was a member of the bands D-Code, Picks Might Fly and All the King's Men. Additionally, he is guitarist with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. He has released three albums.
Martijn van Iterson teaches at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
