His boundary-crossing approach to music has led to collaborations with Richard Galliano, Frankie Gavin, Daniel Hope, Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and Celtic Connections Festival, as well as tours from Canada to Russia.

Tim Kliphuis gives workshops and masterclasses worldwide at a growing number of festivals, summer schools, conservatoires and competitions and curates a festival of the violin in De Doelen.
