Mariken Zandvliet (Troyes, France) made her solo debut at the age of fourteen with  the Gewestelijk Orkest van Zuid-Holland. She obtained the soloist diploma with distinction at the Utrechts Conservatorium and subsequently studied chamber music and Lied accompaniment at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

In addition to performing as a soloist, Mariken frequently performs with various ensembles. She toured the United States, Scandinavia, France, England, Germany, and Marocco. Also, she regularly substitutes for the Residentie Orkest. Mariken contributed to many CD recordings.

Mariken is a répétiteur at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Utrecht Conservatory.
