Jean-Baptiste Milon

Jean-Baptiste Milon (1987) studied with Hervé N’Kaoua at the Conservatory of Bordeaux and obtained his master's degree at the CNSM in Paris, where he studied with Jacques Rouvier. During his studies he specialised in accompaniment and chamber music, taking an accompaniment course with Françoise Larrat, Jeff Cohen's Lied & Mélodie course, sight-reading training with Florent Boffard and chamber music lessons with Claire Désert and Diana Ligeti.

In Dublin, Ireland, he took his first steps in the world of opera, accompanying the voice lessons of Veronica Dunne, Lynda Lee and Virginia Kerr. In 2011 he moved to the Netherlands, where he accompanied the voice lessons of Vitali Rozynko, Ira Siff and James McCray, and masterclasses of, among others, Maarten Koningsberger, Sytse Buwalda, Francis van Broekhuizen, Wiebke Göetjes, Gidon Saks, Wiebe-Pier Cnossen and Gabrielle Mouhlen.

He developed his own voice workshop, Bootcamp La Mélodie Française, in collaboration with the Opera aan de Schie Foundation. He is also a regular accompanist at the Classical Open Stage Schiedam. Additionally, he cooperated with the Rotterdam Opera Choir, Toonkunstkoor Rotterdam and ProjectKoor Rijswijk in various projects.

Jean-Baptiste is also a piano teacher. He organises student concerts at Vivaldi Music Lessons on a monthly base, and teaches piano as a subsidiary subject at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. In January 2018 he was appointed Lied Class teacher at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
