Jaap Dieleman
Jaap Dieleman studied voice at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with Annie Hermes and in Paris with Pierre Bernac. Additionally, he studied piano with Jan Wijn in Amsterdam and musicology at the University of Amsterdam.
After having sung with the Netherlands Chamber Choir for ten years, he worked as a repetiteur with opera companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. He accompanied masterclasses with Nicolai Gedda, Galina Vishnevskaja, Werner Hollweg, Reri Grist and Nathalie Stutzmann, and he worked with conductors including Pierre Boulez, Ed Spanjaard, Frans Brüggen, Lucas Vis, Ton Koopman and Jan Willem de Vriend. Since 1993 Jaap Dieleman has been appointed musical leader at Toneelgroep Amsterdam. Additionally, he is a teacher at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
