Gustavo Trujillo Delgado
Gustavo Trujillo Delgado (La Orotava, Tenerife, 1972) studied clarinet, composition and theory of music at the conservatories of Tenerife, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Since 2000, he has combined his career as a composer with his educational activities at home and abroad.
A versatile composer, Gustavo’s output includes works for orchestra, choir, songs, electronic music, concertos and solo pieces, music for theatre and dance and video art. But he also arranges and recomposes works by Rossini, De Falla, Granados, Bach, and Rautavaara. Additionally, he has built a strong reputation with his educational workshops, lectures and introductions to concerts.
Gustavo lives in Amsterdam, where he teaches music theory at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He plays the clarinet and is an experienced chorister. Additionally he is artistic advisor to PA’dam Chamber Choir, works as composer and teacher for the Festival de Música de Cámara Villa de La Orotava and the Quantum Ensemble, and is a freelance speaker, arranger and composer.
