Master programme for string quartet
The master programme for string quartet will be offered jointly by the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Netherlands StringQuartet Academy under the artistic supervision of Marc Danel (primarius Danel Quartet/Brussels and artistic leader of the Netherlands StringQuartet Academy). The master programme will be entirely dedicated to string quartet playing and consists of weekly string quartet lessons by a team of tutors, consisting of amongst Marc Danel, Stefan Metz, Sven Arne Tepl, Dmitry Ferschtman and Johannes Leertouwer, and masterclasses by other internationally recognized string quartet specialists. Furthermore, the study programme includes frequent private instrumental lessons and a theory programme focused on string quartet playing, including subjects such as music history, music analysis and cultural entrepreneurship. The programme is flexible and will be made up in consultation with the quartet members.
Beethoven - String Quartet op. 18 no 6 in B-flat major
Audition candidates will be selected on the basis of a video recording to be submitted digitally via the application form. The repertoire for the recording is the same repertoire as for the live audition. Recordings must be received by February 1st at the latest.
