Entrance Exam Course

CvA Online offers courses to prepare for the theoretical entrance exam.

Application and enrolment

Bachelor

In order to be admitted to the bachelor's programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, candidates should pass the entrance exam. This exam consists of two parts:

1) Practical part
Aptitude and suitability are tested with reference to the principal study. Candidates perform a programme of approximately 20 minutes' duration. For full details of the entrance requirements for each principal study, please see the principal subject of your choice on this page.

2) Theoretical part
The theoretical part consists of the components ear training and general music theory. Click here for more information on the theoretical part

During the entrance examination candidates will be tested for level of repertoire, technical skills, artistic abilities, development possibilities, ear tests and musical hearing.

Master

The master’s degree entrance exam consists of a practical part in which the candidate is to perform a programme. For full details of the entrance requirements for each principal study, please see the principal subject of your choice on this page.
