In 2024, the Vereniging Kinderkanker Nederland, a Dutch organisation for children with cancer, organized the project ‘Kinderen in hun Kracht’ together with Stichting Muziekids, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Royal Concertgebouw. Together with well-known artists such as MEAU, Typhoon and Alain Clark, some twenty youngsters performed at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on May 7, 2024. They played meaningful songs about life with and after childhood cancer and showed how music provides support and resilience, connects and relaxes, gives energy and fun.
The songs were rehearsed during workshops with teachers and students of the Conservatorium of Amsterdam.
