Sará Gutvill – Prima le Parole! Professionalizing the education of languages at Conservatoires in the Netherlands

Sará Gutvill is teacher of German and voice coach at the CvA. During one year she will focus on the challenges and inconsistencies in language classes for singers in bachelor and master programmes in conservatoires in The Netherlands. The research. The research recognizes the indispensable role of language skills for singers but also highlights the major differences in language teaching methods, teacher background and programmatic focus between institutions. Sará's research will culminate in a report on the current state of language education at conservatoires in the Netherlands.
