Amsterdam Sinfonietta, the leading professional string orchestra under the artistic direction of Candida Thompson, and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA) are long-standing partners in talent development. Each year, Amsterdam Sinfonietta selects eight to ten master’s students from the string department of the CvA to take part in the Sinfonietta Academy.

These students receive intensive coaching from the orchestra musicians and perform as full members of the ensemble. The young professionals join the orchestra on tour and perform in one or more string works.

The audition for this collaborative project took place on 1 December. We warmly congratulate the following students on their selection for the Sinfonietta Academy:
