Four students from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA) have successfully auditioned and secured a place in the Academy of the Jong NBE for the next two years. They are:
- Anna Phylactou, from Cyprus, is a bassoon player. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the CvA and is currently a first-year Master’s student there.
- Olivia Belzuz Otero, from Spain, is an oboe player. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the CvA.
- Jinte van der Heijden, from the Netherlands, is a flute player. She is currently in the second year of her Bachelor’s studies at the CvA.
- Albert Baciu, from Romania, is a trumpet player. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at the CvA and is now a first-year Master’s student there.
We warmly congratulate Anna, Olivia, Jinte, and Albert on this wonderful achievement and wish them lots of success and joy in the coming two years!
About Jong NBE
The jong Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, also known as Jong NBE, is an ensemble of talented young musicians from Dutch conservatories - some recent graduates, others still in the midst of their studies. The ensemble consists of ten musicians (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, saxophone, (bass) trombone, percussion, and double bass/bass guitar) and is coached by experienced musicians from the NBE.
