Second-year AEMA student has won the Willem Wilmink Prize 2025 for Best Children's Song with his contribution to the song Keti Koti. The song was also awarded the Audience Award.
The jury was deeply impressed by the way the song, on which not only Desai but also Glynis Terborg and Jurrian van Dongen collaborated, makes the fraught and sensitive theme of Keti Koti palpable for a younger audience. The music was composed by Remko Rijpkema and the song was performed by Joy Wielkens.
