Henk Neven new principal subject teacher Classical Voice

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam is delighted to announce that Henk Neven will join the Classical Voice department as voice teacher, as of September 1st. Arnold Marinissen, head of Classical Voice: ‘We are very much looking forward to collaborating with Henk. With his strong background in Lied and opera, and his experience as a voice teacher, he will undoubtedly make a great contribution to the training of the next generation of singers.’

Henk Neven performed Lied recitals in, among other venues, Wigmore Hall, BBC Proms, Carnegie Hall and Concertgebouw Amsterdam. He sung opera roles with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, the Dutch National Opera, in the Royal Opera House, Northern Ireland Opera, Opéra National de Paris, La Monnaie, Berlin Staatsoper, Komische Oper Berlin, Theater an der Wien, Le Duo de Dijon, Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, L’Opéra National de Montpellier, Grand Théâtre de Tours, Opéra de Rouen, Théâtre de Champs-Elysées and Bergen Nasjonale Opera. He is also active in oratorio. Henk received the prestigious Dutch Music Award 2010. Together with his Lied duo partner Hans Eijsackers, he leads the Internationaal Liedfestival Zeist. Since 2016, Henk teaches at Codarts Rotterdam.
