Rommert Groenhof appointed principal subject teacher in bass trombone

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam is delighted to announce the appointment of Rommert Groenhof as principal subject teacher in bass trombone. As of January 1, 2025, he will join the CvA's brass section.

Rommert Groenhof (1991) is a CvA alumnus: he studied bass trombone with Ben van Dijk, Jörgen van Rijen, Pierre Volders and Remko de Jager. During his studies he was a prize winner several times at the prestigious International Trombone Festival in the United States. He played in the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, among others, and now holds the position of bass trombone/contrabass trombone in the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. He also performs regularly as a soloist.
