The Conservatorium van Amsterdam is delighted to announce the appointment of Laurens de Man as principal subject teacher of organ as of September 2025. Laurens will succeed Pieter van Dijk, who will retire next summer.
'With Laurens, the keyboard faculty gains a world-class keyboardist,' said David Kuyken, Head of Keyboard Instruments at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. 'In addition to being an internationally acclaimed pianist and organist, he is an experienced teacher with a strong vision of the profession. We look forward to working with him.'
Laurens de Man (b. 1993) is one of the Netherlands' leading organists. In 2024, he was the first organist to win the prestigious Dutch Music Prize. He studied organ and piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and won many prizes at home and abroad.
