Awards for students Organ Department

Three students from the Organ department have won awards. Wibren Jonkers, the only Dutch participant, won first prize at the International Martini Organ Competition in Groningen. The finalists performed on the famous Schnitger organ in the Martinikerk, playing works by Bach, Jan Brandts Buys, and a modern piece by composer and organist Reitze Smits.

Michael Bennett was a finalist in Toulouse at the Concours International d’Orgue Xavier Darasse. Rina Ishii won second prize at the Orava Organ Prix in Slovakia; no first prize was awarded
