On 9 November, composer Wim Henderickx, who passed away in December 2022, will be posthumously awarded the title 'Maestro Honoris Causa.' vzw Bolster, an organization that supports the Conservatory of Antwerp, honours a particularly deserving artist with this title every year.
Wim Henderickx was principal subject teacher at the conservatories of Amsterdam and Antwerp and one of the most important composers of our time.

'The Maestro's list of laureates is certainly impressive and Wim fits perfectly within that long list' said chair Cathy Berx. 'How nice it wouldn't have been to be able to award him this title in life. Unfortunately, fate decided otherwise. With this posthumous recognition, we pay tribute to a great composer, an exemplary teacher and, above all, a particularly wonderful human being.'

The title will be awarded at the benefit concert on 9 November at De Singel in Antwerp. More information
