Cellist Robert Smith has been appointed principal subject teacher of historical cello and viola da gamba at the Hochschule fur Musik und Tanz in Cologne. Robert studied baroque cello with Viola de Hoog and viola da gamba with Mieneke van der Velden at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
