Glenn Gaddum Jr. and Phaedra Kwant new principal subject teachers at the CvA

The Jazz Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam proudly welcomes two new principal subject teachers of bass guitar: Glenn Gaddum Jr. and Phaedra Kwant. Glenn was already part of the bass guitar team as regular guest teacher; Phaedra is a CvA alumna, graduating from the master’s programme in bass guitar in 2004.
With Glenn en Phaedra, the bass guitar section gets two versatile bass guitarists who have made impressive careers at home and abroad.

Glenn Gaddum Jr. has collaborated with numerous international artists in a broad range of styles, including  jazz, funk, soul, pop, rock and hiphop. He has played with, for instance, Anouk, the Dominic J Marshall Trio and Sven Hammond.

Phaedra Kwant is active as a bassist, singer, lyricist and composer in he Dutch jazz, pop and theatre scene. She has worked with artists including Claudia de Breij, Veldhuis & Kemper, 3Js, Mathilde Santing, Krystl, Frederique Spigt, Hans Vermeulen, Lois Lane, Ellen ten Damme, Eric Vloeimans and Mike del Ferro, and also with international stars such as Debbie Sledge.
