Maarten Combrink has won the ITA Carl Fontana Jazz Trombone Competition. The Carl Fontana Competition is part of the annual trombone competition organised by the International Trombone Association in the United States, and is open to trombonists up to 22 years of age.
Maarten studies with Ilja Reijngoud, Bert Boeren and Simon Rigter in de bachelor’s degree programme for jazz trombone at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
