Many prizes for CvA and Sweelinck Academy students at Princess Christina Competition

Sweelinck Academy (Young Talents) and CvA students have won many prizes at the Princess Christina Competition rounds West 1 and 2. 

West 2
In the West 2 round, Lilianne Vossen (14) won first prize in category 1 (12-14 years of age). Lilianne studies piano with Nino Gvetadze.
Pianist Zara le Clerq (18), student with Marianne Boer, won first prize in category 2 (15-19 years of age). The second prize in this category went to Ileana Termini (20), saxophone student in the CvA’s preparatory programme. Violinists Alice van Binsbergen (17), student with Sarah Kapustin, and Anna Várdy (15), student with Wiesje Miedema, both won third prize.
The first prize in category 3 (15-19 years of age and studying in a vocational conservatory programme) was awarded to bachelor student Francisca Galante, viola. 
Olga Göschel (16), violin student with Wiesje Miedema, won an incentive prize, and Jytte Balm (15), viola student with Judith Wijzenbeek, received an honourable mention. 

West 1
In the West 1 round Christiaan Blom (12), recorder student with Hester Groenleer, won first prize in category 1. The second prize in category 3 was awarded to violinist Menno Verloop, former Sweelinck Academy student and now a student in the CvA’s bachelor’s programme. Finally, Ethan van der Velden (12), piano student with Marianne Boer, received an honourable mention.

Lilianne Vossen, Zara le Clerq, Francisca Galante and Christiaan Blom will appear in the national final on Saturday 10 April 2021 at Gasthuis Leeuwenbergh in Utrecht.
