Hornist José Luis Sogorb Jover to join CvA brass teaching staff

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA) is happy to appoint José Luis Sogorb Jover as teacher of horn as a principal subject. As of September 2020 he will join the brass teaching staff.
‘With José, we appoint a young but experienced teacher who enjoys a successful international career as a hornist,’ says Okke Westdorp, Associate Director of the CvA. ‘Together with Jasper de Waal and Laurens Woudenberg, we have an excellent team of horn teachers.’

José Luis Sogorb Jover (1979, Pinoso, Spain) studied at the conservatory of Alicante and the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, where he obtained both his bachelor’s and his master’s diploma with distinction. 
Having served as a member of Het Gelders Orkest for seven years, José Luis was appointed principal hornist at the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia in 2014. In 2016 he joined the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Additionally, he performs recitals, solo and chamber music concerts throughout Europe and gives masterclasses to young musicians.
