Good news for the Amsterdam Electronic Music Academy (AEMA): the study programme has received an Associate Degree accreditation. An Associate Degree is a two-year practice-oriented course at a professional education level which trains for an officially recognized degree.

The NVAO accreditation panel ascertained that the AEMA study programme is well aligned with the international requirements in the professional field, thanks in part to the international position of the teaching team. The panel also judged positively about the expertise of the teaching team. 

The accreditation entered into force in August 2019, which means that the students starting in September can already follow the course as an Associate Degree and pay a regular tuition fee.
