Mischa van Tijn (18) has won third prize in the category up to 22 years of age at the Concours International de Piano in Lagny-sur-Marne, near Paris. Mischa studies with Frank van de Laar in the preparatory year at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

From over 200 entries 93 pianists were selected to participate in the competition, which has three age categories: up to 17, up to 22 and up to 33 years of age.
