The band WIES, with Jeanne Rouwendaal, Tobias Kolk en Jasper Meurs, has won the 23rd edition of the ‘Amsterdamse Popprijs’. The jury members were impressed by the ‘snappy intimate pop songs’ and ‘original sound’. 

The ‘Amsterdamse Popprijs’ is a band competition for bands based in Amsterdam. Previous winners of the award are CvA Pop Department alumni Klopje Popje and Yori Swart.
