Ramin Amin Tafreshi (Iran,1992) and Silvia Lanao Aregay (Spain, 1995) have reached the final of the Alba Rosa Viëtor Composition Competition; Ramin with his work It's the Voice that shall Remain and Silvia with her composition Empordà.
The jury members, chaired by Willem Jeths, were very enthusiastic about the quality of the works submitted by five finalists in total. They were impressed by the diversity of composition styles, the virtuosity and expressiveness of the composers, and, above all, the audacity of the compositions.
Ramin studies in the second year of the bachelor’s degree programme in Composition and Silvia in the fourth year.

The compositions will be performed on December 2nd at the Concertgebouw. More information
