Takehiro Konoe has won third prize at the prestigious ARD Music Competition in Munich. The twenty-year-old violist was by far the youngest finalist. Takehiro (Amsterdam, 1997), started his conservatory studies with Coosje Wijzenbeek at the CvA Sweelinck Academy for young talents in 2013. Since 2016, he has been studying in the bachelor's degree programme with Nobuko Imai and Francien Schatborn. In 2017 he was the winner of the Fifth National Viola Competition.
