Tim Hennekes has won the 'Sena Performers Gouden Slifje', a prize awarded to the most promising young drummer of the moment. He will receive the prize in June 2nd during the 'Trommel Festival', where he will give a concert together with guitarist Gijs Idema, alto saxophonist Mo van der Does and bassist Cas Jiskoot.

Tim studies jazz drums in the third year of the bachelor's programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He is the drummer of the National Jazz Youth Orchestra and the acclaimed Gijs Idema Trio.
