Mara Mostert, Trio Diotima en Niels Jacobs winners of Princess Christina Competition 2018

Violinist Mara Mostert (13) has won first prize at the National Final of the Princess Christina Competition 2018 in category 1, 12-14 years of age. Mara studies violin with Maria Milstein at the Sweelinck Academy.

Trio Diotima - Mischa van Tijn (17), piano; Tim de Vries (17), violin, and Emma van Schadewijk (14), cello - won first prize in category 2, 15-19 years of age. Mischa studies with Frank van de Laar at the Sweelinck Academy; Tim de Vries, a former Sweelinck Academy student, studies in the preparatory programme with Ilya Grubert. Mischa also won the prize for Best Accompanist.

Trombonist Niels Jacobs (18), first-year trombone student in the bachelor's programme, won first prize in category 3, 15-19 (voice 21) years of age and student at a conservatory). Roza Herwig (21) won second prize. She studies with Sasja Hunnego in the second year of the bachelor's programme.
