‘Elsevier’ and ‘Keuzegids HBO': CvA ‘best comprehensive conservatory in the Netherlands

Last week, newsmagazine ‘Elsevier’ and ‘Keuzegids HBO 2018’, the yearly ranking of colleges and universities in the Netherlands, proclaimed the Conservatorium van Amsterdam ‘best comprehensive - offering all musical genres - conservatory in the Netherlands. All our study programmes were judged to be of exceptional quality.

In the ‘Keuzegids HBO 2018’ the Conservatorium van Amsterdam received the highest ranking amongst all Dutch conservatories that offer all musical genres. The top score of 84 adds extra value to this ranking, as excellence in education is highly valued at CvA. The CvA programme Music in Education received the outstanding score of 88 points.

In ‘Elsevier’ the Conservatorium van Amsterdam stands way out above the other Dutch conservatories. The report in Elsevier is based on the National Sudent Survey. The CvA students rated the Conservatorium van Amsterdam significantly higher in all categories - facilities, curriculum, teaching staff, internationalisation etc. - than students of other conservatories did their institutes.
