CvA alumnus Bruno Calvo Anillo is the only European trumpet player to have reached the final  of the Carmine Caruso Jazz Trumpet Solo Competition. The Carmine Caruso Jazz Trumpet Solo Competition is one of the world’s most prestigious competitions; previous winners are, among others, Ambrose Akinmusire, Jason Palmer, Philip Dizack and Marquis Hill. The final will take place on September 23rd and can be watched online on the website through livestreaming

Bruno Calvo Anillo (Cadíz, Spain, 1991) graduated from the master’s programme in jazz trumpet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2015.
