Zdenek Nemec in international big band project

Zdenêk Nêmec, bass trombone student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Classical Department, has participated in a big band residence, which was the result of a new collaboration with the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood in Dammarie-les-Lys, France. ‘Meeting Colors’, as the project was called, was led by two Belgian jazz musicians, trumpetist Bert Joris and guitarist Philip Catherine. The week included daily rehearsals and masterclasses and was concluded by two concerts: in Dammarie-les-Lys on March 30th and in Paris on March 31st.

Other members of the big band were students and teachers from the Royal Academy London, Hochschule Munich, Lusiada University Lisbon; Royal Conservatoire The Hague, PSPBB Paris and CMDL of Dammarie-les-Lys.
